The Cells series portrays the takeover of nature—ranging from the uncontrolled spread of roots that suffocate everything in their path to the breakdown of blood cells within the human body. These drawings reveal the structures of life and decay on both microscopic and monumental scales.
A unique place within the series is taken by "The Last Stand", a piece that stands out due to its integration of sacred scriptures and handmade paper. This contrast with the other works in the series reinforces the theme of impermanence and transformation.
All works in the Cells series are created using graphite pencil on watercolor board, providing a deep, layered texture and an organic refinement.
This series explores the fascinating tension between structure and chaos, between growth and decay—reflecting the natural cycles that surround and shape us.
