Alter modernism - where technology meets nature

Forget about the Manga

Forget about the Manga is a small photographic series centered on presence, rope, and distraction.

Set in a Japanese-inspired room, surrounded by shelves of manga, the images deliberately shift attention away from the stories in the background. The rope takes over.

The work plays with contrast: static printed fantasies versus the immediacy of touch, tension, and gravity.

There is a subtle nod to hentai and erotic manga culture, not as imitation, but as context — a cultural layer that is quietly set aside.

What remains is the act itself: rope as dialogue, body as surface, and the moment where imagination is no longer needed because sensation is real.
