Project Overview
Blue AI is designed as a voice-activated AI assistant specifically for children. Through voice interactions, children can ask questions, hear stories, and learn in a playful way. Blue functions as an imaginary friend who listens patiently and responds, helping children express and understand their own thoughts and feelings. Blue not only provides answers but also encourages empathy, patience, and self-reflection—essential skills for the future.
The first version of Blue is being developed as a web application, allowing us to create a proof-of-concept and gather feedback. However, our vision extends beyond just a web application; in the future, we aim to make Blue accessible through other digital environments, such as mobile applications and even a stand-alone device that can run the AI independently.

1. Voice-Activated Interactions: Blue AI responds entirely to voice commands, which is essential because many children are not yet able to type. This makes the interaction intuitive and accessible for young users.

The animations do not need to be highly realistic; simple mouth movements, a smile for humor, and a “thinking” expression are enough to make the experience engaging.

The Need for Animation Expertise
To bring Blue AI to life, we are seeking animation experts who can help us design and integrate simple yet expressive animations for Blue’s 3D model. We already have a 3D avatar of Blue and would like to implement the following animations:
• Basic Speech Animation: A simple mouth movement synchronized with speech, making it look as if Blue is actually talking during an interaction.
• Emotional Expressions: Animations such as smiling at a joke, a “thinking” expression when Blue is listening, and light eye or head movements for added liveliness.
• Idle Animations: When Blue is not actively communicating with the user, we would like subtle movements such as blinking or slight swaying to give Blue a lively, attentive appearance.
Technical Specifications
• Platform: Blue AI is initially being developed as a web application, but the infrastructure is being set up with an eye on future compatibility with mobile apps and a potential stand-alone device.
• Frameworks: We use Three.js or Babylon.js to render the 3D animations in the browser. For the backend and voice recognition, we rely on Python-based AI models and API integration.
• Performance: The animations need to be lightweight to run smoothly in a browser environment without high system requirements. At the same time, the system must be scalable to meet the demands of mobile platforms and hardware solutions.
